A man lost his legs due to an accident in Khust district

On Sunday night a "Ford" car was moving toward the center of Hust. The driver did not see in the dark an obstacle – a pallet of paving tiles – and crashed at speed into it. The driver himself fled from the scene, so when the police arrived, they found in the car a 21-year-passenger, who was unconscious. 

As it turned out, due to the blow on the tiles both victim’s legs were severed at the knee area. Investigative team transported the victim to the hospital, and the next day police found out that that fateful night the "Ford" was driven by a 20-year-old Hust resident. 

The car is detained in impound lot, the driver is penalized – said the Office of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.
