Ukrzaliznytsya is conducting a detailed official investigation into the incident that occurred on the train №107 / 108 Uzhgorod-Odesa.

Ukrzaliznytsya reported on its FB page that in the train, which departed on September 10, a person, who is believed to have been in a state of intoxication, had started a conflict with other persons, after which he was handed over to medics at Volovets station.

“At the same time, in order to comprehensively investigate the incident and establish all the circumstances and culprits in it, upon the train’s arrival it was met by a special commission of the Ukrzaliznytsya to interrogate all those involved in the incident and witnesses of it. Moreover, a medical examination of the entire train crew for alcohol intoxication will be conducted in a certified institution of the Ministry of Health. Upon consideration of all circumstances, Ukrzaliznytsya will take all necessary measures within the framework of the legislation, including, if necessary, dismissal, and will release additional information,” – the Ukrzaliznytsya said in a statement.
