Yesterday, at the checkpoint "Vylok", a 46-year-old Hungarian citizen was detained for trying to illegally transport cigarettes across the border. The man packed the cigarettes in a specially constructed cache inside a car "LAND ROVER". The foreigner tried to leave Ukraine choosing the "green corridor" lane.
During the first line of control, the State Border Guard Service officers suspected possible transportation of prohibited goods in that vehicle. Hence, the car was removed from the general queue for in-depth inspection. During the joint customs inspection, they found in the car, under the rear seat in a special cache, cigarettes "Compliment-3" in amount of 200 packs and "Compliment-5" in amount of 200 packs without excise stamps. Sniffer dog Casper helped the border guards to find the cigarettes.
The tobacco products in amount of 400 packs and the foreigner’s vehicle were seized according to the law.
