A group of smugglers, who tried to transport a large batch of cigarettes, were detained on the border

Today, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment prevented the illegal transportation of a large batch of contraband tobacco products to neighboring Romania.

While patroling near the settlement of Dilove in Rakhiv district, border guards detained a car Nissan with Romanian registration. There were five men without documents in it. In addition, there were 18 packages with almost 9 thousand packs of cigarettes in the vehicle. The smugglers were planning to move them across the Ukrainian-Romanian border.

At the moment, officers of the National Police and the Fiscal Service were called to the place of the detention. The measures are being taken to find all persons involved in illegal activities.
