Recently, a citizen of Ukraine in a car "Volkswagen Transporter" was moving to Ukraine through the customs post "Uzhgorod" of the Transcarpathian customs office.
As the grounds for moving the said vehicle across the customs border, the Ukrainian submitted to the customs officers a certificate of registration for the vehicle, control card for passage of the "green corridor" and the passport of a citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad.
However, during the customs control, customs officers became suspicious about the integrity of the registration marking of the car body, therefore an expert at the Interior Ministry of Ukraine was engaged to the customs control of the vehicle, according to Art.327 Customs Code of Ukraine.
Following the expert inspection, it was found out that the identification number of the body was manually applied on a detail without number and welded in the car body.
Thus, the citizen committed acts aimed at moving the car "Volkswagen Transporter" through customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control by means of submissions of documents containing false information.
These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the object of the violations – the car released in 2001, worth 2,700 euros – was seized, according to Art. 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
