A five-year energy efficiency program will be introduced in Uzhgorod

A five-year energy saving and energy efficiency program was adopted today at a meeting of Uzhgorod City Council.

The purpose of the Program is to ensure the efficient use of fuel and energy resources in the budget sphere of the city and in the housing and communal services sector, reducing the budget expenditures on the use of energy resources, and enhancing the culture of energy consumption.

The program contains organizational measures and a list of energy saving measures aimed at ensuring the implementation of the state energy saving policy in the city, improvement of the city energy saving management system aimed at increasing the efficiency of the use of fuel and energy resources in the budget and communal spheres.

The five-year program is divided into 2 stages – 2018-2020 and 2021-2022. The amount of financing is almost UAH 1.5 million, for the next year 2018 – UAH 440 thousand.
