A driver of one of the international bus carriers was driving Transcarpathians without permission and with another person’s card

Yesterday, during a inspection in Uzhgorod, inspectors of the State Transport Safety Service office in Transcarpathian region checked a vehicle Setra S 517 HD belonging to a Slovak carrier and carrying out international regular passenger transportation on the bus route Mukachevo – Vysne Nemecke.

During the inspection, it was established that the driver of the bud used the digital tachograph card belonging to another driver, which, according to clause 11.4.2 of the Appendix to the European Agreement Concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles Engaged in International Road Transport (#AETR), is a gross violation.

According to the results of the inspection, a fine in the amount of 19,720 hryvnias was imposed on the carrier for the operation of a vehicle for international road transport using a card of another driver, and a fine in the amount of 1,700 hryvnias for absence of Ukraine government’s permission for international regular passenger transportation between Ukraine and the Slovak Republic.

Note. Clause 11.4.2. of the Appendix to the European Agreement Concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles Engaged in International Road Transport (ARTR) provides that a driver of a vehicle equipped with a digital tachograph may have only one valid driver card and may use only his own driver card. He can not use a driver card that is damaged or expired or belongs to another driver.
