A boy wanted to commit a theft, but was stopped by the police

In Uzhgorod, police officers detained a 12-year-old boy who tried to steal goods from a store. The boy was tempted by an expensive flash card.

The "Alarm" signal from the trade center on Kapushanska street in Uzhgorod was received at the central monitoring desk around 16.00. Police officers immediately arrived at the scene.

As it turned out, the reason for the "alarm" button tripping was a minor’s misconduct. The boy, a resident of Uzhgorod district, decided not to spend money on the goods that he wanted, so he hid it underneath his clothes. As if nothing had happened, the boy passed by the cash register without paying. But he failed to leave the store with hidden goods unnoticed, the police officers were waiting for him at the exit.

The police explained the boy that he had committed misconduct that is strictly punishable by laws of Ukraine. The stolen flash card was put back on the shelf of the shopping center.

Currently, the case is being checked, investigators are working with the boy and his family.
