The "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC informs that during the period from 1 to 10 of July this year, the company’s employees revealed 75 facts of electricity thefts.
In particular, 58 reports of violation were drawn up against household consumers and 17 reports – against legal entities (private entrepreneurs, companies, firms, etc.).
Most cases of illegal interference in the power grid by household consumers over the past week were found in Uzhgorod and Khust districts (15 and 8 violations respectively). Most often, electricity was illegally consumed through damaging and removal of seals on metering devices (15 cases). Another frequent violation recently has been impacting on metering device with an external electromagnetic field (13 cases).
In the legal sector (private entrepreneurs, companies, firms, etc.) facts of thefts were detected in 10 districts. Most violations were observed in Mukachevo and Uzhgorod districts (4 and 3 cases). Thus, the most popular violations were damaging of metering devices (damage to the meter hull, broken glass, etc.) as well as amaging and removal of seals.
During 10 days, Committees to review reports of violation imposed fines totaling UAH 34.517 thousand, including UAH 2.710 thousand among households and UAH 31.807 thousand in the legal sector.
