“7 Days” by 7 artists

Today, October 31, in the press center "Transcarpathia" the art album "7 Days" was presented, which features works by seven representatives of contemporary Transcarpathian art: Serhiy Dubovets, Vlad Habda, Taras Tabaka, Pavlo Kovacs, Vadim Harabaruk, Taras Usyk and Serhiy Biba.
The project was created by a culture studies schloar Natalia Goncharova, known for other artistic events. "The album has been being created for a long time, about 4 years" – said Natalia during a press conference. – I was thinking which artists to invite, which paintings to choose. Then there were delays in the work of designers, also I wanted to publish a completely independent project, so I had to convince patrons that people need it."
In the album each artist presented 7 of his works. Natalia Goncharova said that she had specially selected for the project both more and less well-known artists so art lovers could meet new names.
The album is published in two languages: English and Ukrainian. The artists want to solemnly present it at the exhibition, which opens Nov. 6 at 16.00 at the Art Museum.  During the press conference, one of the project participants, Vlad Habda, promised that the show would be a real surprise, because artists would present not only the paintings from the album, but their works of recent years. "Uzhgorod audience is already prepared to contemporary art, so I think people will be interested. In particular, I will present my "black" works, which received criticism from colleagues," – said Mr. Habda.
Art critic Oksana Havrosh said that the initiator of the project Natalia Goncharova was well known in Transcarpathia for her crazy ideas. The album "7 Days" is her private initiative that aims to represent contemporary artists to the public.
