“5×2”. Slovak contemporary artists presented an exhibition after living in the residence in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

In Uzhgorod started the exhibition "5×2", where five young Slovak artists presented their works created while living in the residence as part of a joint project.

In turn, our artists, who lived in the residence in Slovakia, on April 4 will be exhibited in Košice, where they were living and working for two months.

The project is organized by the Art Center "Kublo" (Uzhgorod) in partnership with the organization KAIR (Kosice Artist In Residence).

The basic concept of the residence is that artists are sensitive to space, their location plays a big role. It is expected that the authors will find a special place or a phenomenon that encourages a mutual discussion and influences the process and outcome. The artists are focused on finding a common denominator to their various interests and topical researches.

The works that are exhibited in Uzhgorod "Owl’s Nest" are not paintings or anything of the traditional art, those are installations, report of a performance, multimedia works. In short, as always with modern art, it is better to see it for yourself…
