3,241 cases of ARVI and two cases of measles were recorded last week in Transcarpathian region

The number of admissions to health care facilities for acute respiratory infections remained basically the same as the last week. According to the regional epidemiologist Victoria Tymchyk, the figures indicate a low intensity of the epidemic process. 3,241 persons appealed to medical institutions, the incidence rate is 258.0 per 100 thousand persons and is 40% below the epidemic level, the Transcarpathian Regional Health Center informs. 
64% of the patients are children under 17 (2,088 cases) and 36% are adults (1,153 cases). 90 patients (3%) were hospitalized for inpatient care, the vast majority of them were children under 17 (80% of all hospitalized persons). 741 people have been vaccinated against influenza.
Over the week, according to operational reports, 2 cases of measles were registered in the region, all of them were among children of Vynogradiv district. Since the beginning of 2019, 2,366 cases of measles have been registered in the region, which is 188.3 per 100 thousand people. 1,509 patients are children under 17 years old (64%) and 857 are adults (36%).
