2732 Transcarpathians suffer from ARVI and influenza

According to the deputy head of the department of organization of state sanitary and epidemiological monitoring Victoria DYORDYAY, during the period from 23 to 30 of October, 2015, 2,732 people turned to medical institutions of the region for ARVI and influenza, which is 3.3% less than that during the previous (43rd) week of the year.

It should be noted that in comparison with the 44th week of 2014, the incidence of ARVI among the population of the region is lower by 13.6%. The incidence rate of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections among the population of the region is 21.7 per 10 thousand people, which is 34.8% below the epidemic threshold.

The trend to higher incidence of ARVI for the current week was registered among residents of the city of Uzhgorod and Perechyn and Tyachiv districts. High levels of incidence of ARVI were registered in the city of Uzhgorod, Uzhgorod and Svalyava districts.

Among the total number of cases, 67.1% are children under 17, the highest level is recorded in the age group 5-14 years.

5.2% of all diseased people were taken to medical facilities, 86.7% of them are children.

Since the beginning of the epidemic season, 370 people have been vaccinated. 115 of them are persons of the medical risk group, and 255 are persons of the epidemic risk group.
