2536 Transcarpathians suffer from ARVI and influenza

According to the deputy head of the state sanitary and epidemiological monitoring department of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service in Transcarpathian region Victoria DORDYAY, for the period from December 31 to January 8 2016, 2536 people turned to health care institutions of the region about ARVI and influenza, the incidence increased compared to the previous week in 2015 by 3.7%.

The incidence rate is 20.1 per 10 thousand people, which is 33.8% below the epidemic threshold.

Among the total amount of cases, 67.3% are children under 17, the highest incidence was registered in the age group of 0-4 years (44.8%).

3.7% of the total of cases were taken to medical facilities, 91.4% of which are children.

The epidemic situation regarding the incidence of influenza and ARVI in Transcarpathian region corresponds to the average level for the corresponding time of year.

Since the beginning of the epidemic season, 3233 persons have been vaccinated against influenza and ARVI, including 1403 persons from medical risk group, 1819 persons from epidemic risk group and 11 persons from high professional risk group.
