According to the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal, who today, May 1, returned from a working trip to the Donbass, the construction of fortifications continues.
Today, the band “BEZ OBMEZHEN” will perform at the “Sun Drink” festival in Uzhgorod. “I remember the splash the band made at the “Beaujolais” festival. Then they presented the new single “Winter” – Slava Shafar wrote on his page. Commentators to this news added: “Finally, they began inviting decent bands here.”
Meanwhile, in a week, another extraordinary event will take place in Transcarpathia. According to the Beregovo.Today, on May 9, which is Saturday, in Beregovo, there will be a Ukrainian party with a special guest – one of the leaders of the group TNMK Oleksandr Sidorenko, better known as Fozzy.
It will be a solo performance, a DJ set. As the artist once told Transcarpathian reporters, DJing for him is rather a hobby and a new format which he occasionally practices.
Several years ago, Fozzy was DJing at a party in the open air in Mukachevo.
On April 30, the Uzhgorod Children’s Art School celebrated its respectable anniversary. This educational institution has made a long way to become truly model Uzhgorod school of aesthetic education.
The history of the institution dates back to 1954 when by the order of the regional department of culture, at the Uzhgorod Children School of Arts named after Tchaikovsky, the Uzhgorod evening music school for young workers was established for children who did not have opportunuty to receive music education.
As the first graduates showed, the evening music school was really needed in Uzhgorod, so in 1958 it became an independent institution. The number of students was gradually increasing, so the school had to be confined in the premises of local secondary schools, enterprises and military units.
Finally, in 1982-1983, the school received its own building on S.Petofi square. In 1984 the institution was renamed to Uzhgorod children’s music school №2, and three years later – to Uzhgorod children’s art school.
Today, the school has piano and vocal-choral departments, folk instruments, orchestral, music-theoretical department, the department of fine arts, the preparatory department, the department of choreography and theater classes.
“Our school is proud of its talented students and graduates, many of them distinguished themselves in prestigious regional, national and international competitions, festivals, concerts, exhibitions, joined or created prestigious creative teams – the director Natalia Gromova said – Believe me, we, teachers, rejoice about every achievement of our students and, fortunately, our students and graduates constantly give us reason for such joy.”
The grand opening of the festival “Sun Drink” will be held in Uzhgorod today at 14.00. The program of this already traditional spring event in the city was posted by Slava Shafar on his page in Facebook.
Besides usual for this festival tastings of drinks and delicious food, it contains many cultural and recreational activities.
But waiting until afternoon is not necessary, because stalls with food and souvenirs in the city center will open already at 10.00.
