At the borders with the EU, Chop border guards detained migrants from four countries

Yesterday, officers of the Chop border guard detachment detained three people from the African continent.

Citizens of Eritrea, Sudan and Cameroon, though undocumented, came to our country with a view to migrating to Hungary. However, thanks to the vigilance of local residents, their plan failed. Thanks to the information, received by the “green berets” from citizens, border guards of the department “Salovka” planned and implemented measures to detain “tourists” who were getting ready to illegally cross the border to the neighboring state.

For this offense, the men will be fined in amount of two hundred to five hundred non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens.

Another “seeker of happiness” had been detained a little earlier by border guards of the department “Palad Komarivtsi” on the border with Slovakia. According to the offender, he was a native of Turkey, but had no documents on him. His further fate will be determined by the court.

Vyacheslav Grozny: “On-loan Dynamo players give us a chance to stay in the Premier League”

In 2015, over a billion cubic meters of gas has been pumped into storage facilities

This year, 1.039 billion cubic meters of gas has been pumped into Ukrainian gas storage facilities.

This was reported by the press service of the “Ukrtransgaz”.

In particular, in April, 0.82 billion cubic meters of natural gas has been pumped in.

“In total, 8.602 billion cubic meters of natural gas is stored in Ukrainian storage facilities,” – it is said in the statement.

As noted, gas is being pumped into 6 storage facilities at the rate of 51.8 million cubic meters a day.

As reported, in April the imports of gas to Ukraine from Europe and Russia amounted to 1.473 billion cubic meters.

The chairman of Irshava district council does not have housing (Declaration)

At the checkpoint “Uzhgorod”, a man was transporting cigarettes in a double-bottom of a trailer

Yesterday, officers of Chop border guard detachment in cooperation with customs officers found a cache with cigarettes. Tobacco products were being transported in a double-bottom of a trailer of the truck “DAF” driven by a citizen of Ukraine. The man was leaving Ukraine through the checkpoint “Uzhgorod”. In total, they found in the cache nearly 5,000 packs of cigarettes “Fest” without excise stamps. The cigarettes were confiscated. In addition, the truck worth 578,000 UAH was also confiscated.

Also, yesterday, tobacco products were confiscated twice at the checkpoint “Rava-Ruska” on the border with Poland. They were being transported behind door platings of Polish citizens’ cars. The men also lost their vehicles for hidden transportation of goods. Almost one thousand packs of cigarettes were found hidden in ore in a freight train at the railway checkpoint “Mostyska.”

In addition, border guards of Mukachevo and Chernivtsi detachments found and detained near the state border a total of 16 packages of cigarettes. 12 of them were being carried by 4 citizens of Ukraine, that were detained by border guards of the “Seliatyn” department of the Chernivtsi detachment thanks to the information received from local residents. Chess holiday in the Padiyun

At the initiative of the Transcarpathian Palace of Children and Youth Creativity and with the support of the Chess Federation of Transcarpathian region, the traditional children’s chess tournament “Cup of Padiyun 2015” took place in Uzhgorod, on May 3.

51 young chess players under 14 years old from cities of Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, as well as Beregovo, Volovets, Vynogradiv districts participated in the competition. The competition took place according to the Swiss system in 7 rounds under rapid chess rules.

The tournament was held in the hard-fought but fair struggle and gave the young chess players unforgettable emotions and impressions. The winners of the competition among boys are: Andriy Izhak (the city of Beregovo) 6.5 points, Vladislav Havan and Vadim Petrovsky (both from Mukachevo) 6 points each; among girls – Yevhenia Tymoshenko (Uzhgorod) 5 points, Yulia Dankulynets and Camila Khymynets (both from Mukachevo) 4.5 points each. Also, awards were given to Miroslav Mishko (the city of Mukachevo) – the best among under 10 years old, and Andriy Markulynets (the city of Vynogradiv) – the best among under 8 years old.

All prize winners were awarded with medals, diplomas and memorable cups of the Transcarpathian Palace of Children and Youth Creativity “PADIYUN”
