On Nezalezhnist Embankment, the fair continues.
People sell souvenirs, flowers, traditional barbecue. There are even some Uzhgorod-themed products. Traditionally, many national symbols. The weather contributes to good mood.

The head of Transcarpathia demands from the regional Coordination Centre detailed report on the funds received from countrymen for the military.
The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal said, “I suggest members of the Coordination Center to report on their activities and distributed funds. We know that large sums were allocated and raised to help our defenders. Those are 3.5 million hryvnias allocated by Transcarpathian Regional Council, and other funds that people raised in districts, in organizations, District State Administrations. All this is money of the Transarpathian community and the community needs to know what it was spent for.”
The head of the region expects specific data in the report of the representatives of the Coordination Center, established previously at the RSA for “coordinating assistance to participants of the ATO”.
Recall that Transcarpathian Regional Coordination Centre for Defence and Mobilization Activities and Legal Aid was created in the summer at the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. It was headed by military retiree Hryhoriy Doroshenko. As officially reported, “The Center was established at the initiative and with the participation of the public.” However, people involved in this organization have not been known as community leaders and among volunteers helping the ATO participants. That is why real army helpers had questions to the Center. In turn, the head of the region Vasyl Hubal asked a serious question too.
Uzhgorod residents celebrate the Day of the City with charity. The original event scheduled by creative Uzhgorod residents for tomorrow will not only bring joy, but also help a person.
The idea of the Charity Picnic was suggested by the designer Katya Morgental.
An interesting space near the Philharmonic will be filled with beauty and goodness. During the event, they will be raising funds for the treatment of an Uzhgorod girl who needs an urgent operation.
Katya informs: “At the picnic, you can buy cool clothes at low prices, interesting handmade things, designer decor. Also you will be treated with homemade cakes and fragrant tea.”

Uzhgorod traditionally celebrates the Day of the city in autumn. Although the date of the celebration is floating, and historians disagree on the actual age of the city, we know that our hometown is about one thousand years old, and most importantly – we love it.
And because of that, we sometimes criticize it. But, still it is in our hearts, and we are ready for good deeds for it. Aren’t we?..
So, Uzhgorod, the team of the site that You “shared” you name with and for which You are the main hero and inspiration, wish you a happy birthday. Be healthy and happy! Be inspired and never lose your incredible charm, and keep the pride of a real European! May your (our!) dreams of You as a city, that truly deserves the title of the Best on Earth, come true!
