The regional administration plans to mark the 80th anniversary of the Holodomor 1932-1933. They have already established an organizing committee on preparation and holding of the events in the region. The deputy governor Anton Hromovy is appointed as the head of the committee. The events will take place on November 23. On that day, in the churches of the region there will be memorial services for the victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine. Also in the cities of the region there will be requiem meetings, laying of mourning wreath and compositions of rye and wheat ears on the memorials established to honor the victims of the Holodomor.
