20-ton pedestal for the coolest monument has been delivered to Transcarpathia from Hungary

On Tuesday, a 20-ton pedestal for the sculpture of Ferenc Rakoczi II has been delivered to Beregovo from Hungary.

It will become a center piece for the renovated park "Budapest" in the district center. The official opening was scheduled for the City Day in May, but was delayed because of the project’s executors, a renowned Hungarian architect Peter Szarvas and sculptor Lajos Gyorfy.

The pedestal of the future monument with the inscription "Сum Deo pro Patria et Libertate" ("With God for the Homeland and Freedom") has already been established – the bronze sculpture of Ferenc Rakoczi is expected to arrive in Beregovo any day now.

According to the mayor Zoltan Babyak, the grand opening of the park will be held at the end of July this year.
