16 tourists, who fell ill in the mountains, are in Rakhiv district hospital

As of 6:00, July 15, 16 residents of the city of Dnipro are hospitalized in the infection disease department of Rakhiv district hospital and, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region informs.

On July 14, in the evening, the tourist group came to the village of Kvasy in Rakhiv district. During the medical examination of the rest of the group, similar symptoms were found and three more people were hospitalized. Their condition is satisfactory. The circumstances of the case are being investigated. It is possible that the disease could be the result of heat stroke.

As previously reported, on July 14 at 4:40, the operational-rescue service of Transcarpathia was reported that during a hike between the mountains of Perespil and Stara in Rakhiv district, state of people’s health had deteriorated. Rescuers of Rakhiv mountain search and rescue department helped the victims and transported them to the hospital.
