On June 29, in the regional center there will be the opening of the exhibition "Water glory of Transcarpathia" devoted to the beauty and environmental problems of lakes and rivers in our region.
The official opening will take place at 10:00, on Teatralna Square near the pedestrian bridge over the Uzh river.
This exhibition is registered with the National project "Ukraine Book of Records" as the longest environmental exhibition in Ukraine and is 144 meters.
Collecting of pictures for the exhibition was conducted from April 10 to June 10, 2013. 354 pictures from all over Transcarpathia have been received, of which 173 were selected and printed out.
The photo exhibition is dedicated to the Day of the Danube, which is a common pan-European event and is celebrated annually on June 29 in 14 countries of the river basin under the auspices of the International Commission for Protection of the Danube river.
All participants who have submitted photos will receive promotional gifts from the Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine.
The exhibition is organised by the Transcarpathian Regional Organization of Ukrainian Environmental League, the EU Project "Support to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine in the implementation of Sector budget support", supported by Uzhgorod City Council, Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine and the Tisa basin water resources management.
The exhibition will take place on Teatralna square from June 29 to July 6.
