Nobody celebrates like Mukachevo district and the city on the Latorytsya itself. Frequent events, fairs, festivals and various celebrations that impress with their diversity and content make Mukachevo the "magnet" No. 8 for visiting Transcarpathia.

The incredible architecture of the city, Palanok castle, which is a gem of not only our region, but also Ukraine, delicious gastronomic locations, an incredibly atmospheric monastery and the town hall. In this city, you can always discover something new, it’s still not completely known.

But what distinguishes it from other settlements of the region is its numerous events. The lively festival life begins in January. The "Red Wine" for many years has been presenting samples of the best Transcarpathian wine. The choice is incredibly wide. Considering that the delicious wine is complemented with caroling, good impressions are guaranteed.

The wine festival is followed by the delicious "Varosh Palachinta" (February), "Fire and Meat" (May), Day of Mukachevo (May), Ilona Zrinyi’s wedding in June, the parade of chimney-sweeps. The last holiday is very special, because the famous chimney-sweep Bertalon Tovt lives in Mukachevo. In 2010, a monument in his honour was established on the central street of the city.  A living legend, the keeper of the city’s history.

The day of redheads is celebrated here in September.  If you like beer, there is the "Varosh beer" for you, also in September. But still the most significant holiday is the Day of St. Martin, who is considered the patron saint of the city. The event takes place in November and begins in the Catholic Church named after him. Then, there is an incredibly moving children’s procession with lanterns and a theatrical performance.
