12,750,000 UAH is allocated from the regional budget for the fight against smuggling in Transcarpathia

Already this year, the customs office and the Security Service of Ukraine will buy computers at 360,000 hryvnia and cars at 2.5 million hryvnia.

The Regional Council has supported the Program to combat smuggling, organized crime and corruption in 2016-2020.

The total amount of funding from the regional budget is 12,755,000 UAH.

The first objective of the program, according to the document, is identification, localization and elimination of the most socially dangerous criminal groups specializing in smuggling of highly liquid products, strategic raw materials, vehicles, cultural, historical, currency valuables, and prohibited materials and substances.

The Program provides, inter alia, for the following measures: the purchase of special purpose vehicles (2.5 million hryvnia this year); the purchase of special equipment for operating units (725,000 hryvnia this year) and so on. 360,000 hryvnia is provided for the purchase of computer equipment in 2016.
