On Saturday morning, December 5, the Mikulastrolley trolleybus decorated with holiday lights started running in the Hungarian capital.
Inside, passengers can meet Mikulas, the Hungarian Saint Nicholas. Passengers can also contribute to charity – donate boxes full of treats for children from low-income families.
"The pandemic has not only made life difficult for poor families, but also hinders the gift collection campaign, so there is a need for cooperation and donations like never before," – BKK, Budapest’s trnasport company said.
Mikulas will be riding in Budapest until December 19 on trolleybus lines 72M, 75, 76, 77, 80, and 83.
