Uzhgorod will be implementing a joint project with Darmstadt

The Competition Commission of the Engagement Global Partnership Projects for Sustainable Local Development (Nakopa) Program has approved a project proposal "Contribution to Sustainable Waste Management in Uzhgorod", which was developed in partnership with Uzhgorod’s sister city – Darmstadt, Germany. 
This was recently reported to the Uzhgorod City Council by colleagues from the Department of International Cooperation and Intercultural Relations of Darmstadt, as a result of joint efforts and hard work. The total budget of the project is 239,740.78 euros, 90% of which – 215,766.70 euros – will be financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany. Implementation period: November 15, 2020 – March 14, 2023. As the first step, the German side suggested to hold a video conference to discuss the requirements for the implementation of the joint project. The date of the online meeting will be determined in the near future.
