Hungarian police arrested a Transcarpathian for smuggling

A 43-year-old man was detained on November 12 in the town of Fehérgyarmat. He was transporting 14,000 packs of cigarettes without Hungarian excise stamps by a truck. The contraband was securely hidden in a special box. The detainee is awaiting trial.

On November 14, border police patrols detained two more young Hungarians in Fehérgyarmat.

During the inspection, the police found in a vehicle 4,950 packs of cigarettes without tax and excise stamps. The illegal goods and the car were seized.
