In Uzhgorod, the Day of Expulsion of the Nazi Occupiers from Ukraine was celebrated by the laying of flowers

Veterans, the military, law enforcement officers, government officials and NGO representatives laid flowers at the monument "Ukraine – To Liberators" on the Ukrainian-Slovak border. Illya Hulyanych and Hrant Hudmanyan came to honor the memory of all Ukrainians who gave their lives for this.

Ilya Hulyanych said that he was four years old when Transcarpathia was liberated: "I am from Vynogradiv district, I am a child of war. I remember, after liberation, two Soviet soldiers lived in our house."

"In 1944, I was 10 years old, I remember famine and liberation. I remember people shouting" Hurray!", throwing flowers, this was such a joy. We were as if born again" – Hrant Hudmanyan said.
