The first meeting of the Youth Council of Uzhgorod has taken place

The first scheduled meeting of the Youth Council of Uzhgorod took place the day before in the "open office" on Narodna Square.
Recall that the youth consultative and advisory body at the Uzhgorod City Council – the Youth Council – was established in August. Its main tasks are to involve socially active youth in solving issues in the youth sphere, problems of socio-economic, cultural life of the community, consolidation of the youth movement in Uzhgorod, etc.

The Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv ​​said that they are currently working on making of a creative space for young people at the Juventus student leisure center. The building was handed over to Uzhgorod National University and it requires significant investments for full operation. Juventus has been included in the Uzhgorod Economic and Social Development Program, and design and estimate documentation is being prepared.

The first meeting addressed a number of organizational issues, first of all – the election of a new logo of the Youth Council, approval of working groups and their leaders, discussion of upcoming projects, including those related to the restoration of sports infrastructure, creating an interactive map.

In addition, the Youth Council plans to record workshops, thematic courses and post them on YouTube, as well as to publish a printed monthly newsletter not only about the activities of the council, but also about current trends in youth policy in Ukraine and abroad.
