The duo "White & Black" consisting of Olesya Hlukhanych and Serhiy Fanta has won 5 international competitions in just six months since being formed. Serhiy Fanta has been studying for a bachelor’s degree at Uzhgorod Institute of Culture and Arts for only a year, and this year he has won six international competitions, including the Grand Prix. Serhiy successfully performs solo as well as in a piano duet with his teacher Olesya Hlukhanych.
"White & Black" is a four-handed two-piano duo. The idea of contrast is embedded in the very name of the duo. First, two different types of musical instruments the members play: a classical acoustic piano and a modern digital piano with special effects; second, the members themselves: a teacher and a student. The duo’s repertoire includes only works of their own arrangement: the world’s most popular hits: "The Finale Countdown", the soundtrack to the movie "Countdown", the soundtrack to the movie "Game of Thrones", "Adagio" by Albinoni, "Argentine Tango" by Gardel.
