According to her, the suspect is a resident of the village of Velyka Palad, who was detained while trying to move drugs to Hungary outside the checkpoint.
"The pre-trial investigation established that in late June, a 27-year-old Transcarpathian man carrying drugs crossed the Ukrainian-Hungarian border outside checkpoints to reach the EU territory. The man was detained red-handed and was found carrying a transparent plastic bag with a prohibited substance. According to the analysis, the resident of Vynogradiv district was carrying cannabis," – the spokeswoman said.
The pre-trial investigation has been completed. The prosecutor’s office sent an indictment against the man to the Vynogradiv District Court.
