In Transcarpathia, a man beat a 12-year-old girl who run into his family on a bicycle

The incident happened on July 26 on the territory of the resort complex "Voyevodino" in the village of Turya Pasika, Perechyn district.

According to the press service of the regional police, a 12-year-old girl was riding a bicycle with a phone in her hands and ran into a family of vacationers walking on the sidewalk.

Surveillance video shows a 12-year-old schoolgirl on a bicycle running into a family of 4 people, probably two parents and two daughters. The cyclist herself fell on the sidewalk. Then the man approached the cyclist, kicked her and hit her in the face. He also took her mobile phone, smashed it and threw it away.

"The man threw the bicycle aside, hit the girl with the palm of his hand and threw away her mobile phone. The girl’s mother called the police. An ambulance was called. The girl is now in hospital," – the spokeswoman for the Transcarpathian police Hanna Dan told us.

Local activist Pavlo Pavliv posted a video with the mother of the 12-year-old cyclist on social media. The woman says that her daughter has a head injury and stress.

The police reported that criminal proceedings had been opened over this incident and a number of forensic examinations had been ordered to establish the severity of the injuries.
