A special program for tourists is being launched in Uzhgorod

Transcarpathian Tourist Organization is launching the "Uzhhorod HAS 2020" program – Uzhgorod hospitality, attractiveness and safety. The goal is to create the most comfortable and attractive conditions for tourists to stay in the city. And also to give a boost to the tourism industry and use the time of the coronavirus pandemic for innovation and development. 
  
Cities and regions that have traditionally made money from tourism are suffering huge losses this year. "The tourism industry has encountered a challenge that it has not yet faced. Only those, who can quickly adapt to new realities and find ways to overcome hitherto unknown challenges, will be able to survive the situation we have found ourselves in 2020, – Fedir Shandor, the head of the Transcarpathian Tourist Organization comments on the new initiative. – That is why the Transcarpathian tourist organization initiates the program "Uzhhorod HAS 2020". The innovativeness of the program is that it is supposed to connect traditional tourist services, loyalty programs from Uzhgorod entrepreneurs and the necessary safety measures during quarantine. This is a model of interaction between tour operators, Uzhgorod entrepreneurs and tourists." 
The concept of the program is represented by three words: Hospitable, Attractive, Safety, the initial letters of which form the word HAS.  
The concept of "Responsible Hospitality" developed within the program "Uzhhorod HAS 2020" significantly complements the concept of responsible travel. It is designed for short-term tourists staying in the city for less than 1 month (Silver Set package, which aims to reduce the risks and expenses of tourists when exploring the city), and for guests who plan to stay in Uzhgorod for more than 3 months (Gold Set package, which aims to reduce risks and expenses of adapting to a new place of residence). 
The initiative group plans to launch the program by the end of July. Currently, the selection of the best producers, suppliers of goods and services in Uzhgorod is underway. Kyiv and Lviv have already shown interest in the initiative, and it is planned that they will join the program by the end of this year, and other cities of Ukraine will start joining the next year.
