A suspect in the fatal beating of a fellow villager was detained by the police in Transcarpathia

According to her, a conflict arose between two residents of Tyachiv distric, who were hanging out in the same company. On the way home, in the car, a conflict situation occurred between two residents of the village of Tyachivka, namely a 39-year-old driver and a 27-year-old passenger. The men took to the streets, where the 39-year-old man beat the fellow villager. After that, the latter was driven home in the offender’s car. The 39-year-old man told the victim’s mother that he had found the 27-year-old man beaten by the road and picked him up. 
However, the police officers, who arrived at the scene, found out that it was the driver of the car who had caused serious injury to the latter. It was found out that while drinking alcohol in the city of Tyachiv, a conflict broke out between the men because the victim had been owing money to the 39-year-old. 
As of now, the 39-year-old was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the victim died in the morning after spending a night in a coma. 
Investigators opened criminal proceedings over the crime under Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, ie intentional grievous bodily harm that led to the death of the victim.
