Volunteers of Uzhgorod National University ask to support university doctors

They decided to buy respirators and reusable protective suits for students and teachers of Uzhgorod National University, who are saving people from COVID-19.

Coordinator of UzhNU volunteers Hanna Meleganych says: “Since the beginning of the quarantine, our volunteers have been involved in a number of charity initiatives of the city. At the same time, we represent the university – a large community of Uzhgorod. Therefore, we decided to focus on helping the university staff and students. We decided to support our doctors – students and teachers who are working with COVID-19 patients. We must remember that while most of us stay at home or return to normal life, doctors deal with this disease on a daily basis and constantly need means of personal protection. We decided to buy respirators and reusable protective suits for them. Therefore, we encourage those who want to help to contribute, because next week we already plan to order the necessary goods."
Uzhgorod National University volunteers have already raised 2,600 hryvnias to purchase means of personal protection for our doctors. This money will be enough for only about 25 respirators or 10 protective suits. They can only be used once. Therefore, for more substantial help, the volunteers ask teachers and students to unite and support their own. The fundraiser lasts until June 1.
