COVID-19: the situation as of the morning of May 30 in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathia and Ukraine

In Uzhgorod

As of the morning of May 30, 380 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

7 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours. 

191 people have recovered  

6 persons have died.

18 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 158 are on outpatient treatment

166 Uzhgorod citizens are in self-isolation 
 
In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have made 8 visits, 98 samples of biological materials have been collected for polymerase chain reaction test. In total, since the onset of the disease, 425 visits have been made, 2298 samples of biological materials have been collected for PCR tests.

In Transcarpathia

According to the Transcarpathian Regional Center for Public Health, as of the morning of Saturday, May 30:

405 Transcarpathians, who had PCR-confirmed coronavirus, have recovered 

Over the past day, 24 people have been confirmed to have coronavirus by PCR testing;

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1171 persons have been diagnosed with COVID-19, of whom 262 are health care workers, 75 are children. 

28 people with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 have died 

As of the morning of May 30, 11789 PCR tests for COVID-19 have been performed in the region, 703 in the past 24 hours.                     

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on May 30, there have been 23204 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 696 were fatal, 9311 patients have recovered. During the day, 393 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:

Vinnytsia region – 958 cases;

Volyn region – 887 cases;

Dnipropetrovsk region – 933 cases;

Donetsk region – 158 cases;

Zhytomyr region – 699 cases;

Transcarpathian region – 1171 cases;

Zaporizhzhya region – 440 cases;

Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1379 cases;

Kirovohrad region – 506 cases;

Kyiv – 2904 cases;

Kyiv region – 1556 cases;

Lviv region – 1619 cases;

Luhansk region – 46 cases;

Mykolaiv region – 288 cases;

Odesa region – 883 cases;

Poltava region – 268 cases;

Rivne region – 1680 cases;

Sumy region – 168 cases;

Ternopil region – 1160 cases;

Kharkiv region – 1025 cases;

Kherson region – 178 cases;

Khmelnytsky region – 432 cases;

Chernivtsi region – 3306 cases;

Cherkasy region – 401 cases;

Chernihiv region – 159 cases.

The tests were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of the morning of May 30, 2020, the Center has received 929 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases.
