Meteorological spring in Transcarpathia this year was a month longer than normal, and summer (steady increase of the average daily temperature above +15 degrees) is delayed by almost 3 weeks. Although the latest dates of summer in the lowlands of the region come in early June, and in the mountains – in late June.
The spring this year turned out to be long, it started in the lowlands of the region in late January and has been going on for 122 days, which is 35 days longer than the climatic norm.
But the distinctive feature of spring 2020 is not only in its duration, but also in many negative factors for agricultural plants, which were observed during the spring period, such as frosts, moisture deficit, lack of heat.
