During a fire in the village of Lazeshchyna in Rakhiv district, three children were poisoned with carbon monoxide

The Rescue Service received the report of a fire in the two-story house of a large family on March 30 at 10:10
Rakhiv district firefighters were immediately sent at the scene and they extinguished the fire in just over an hour.
After extinguishing the fire, the firefighters were told that at the time of the fire there were 3 children in the house: a three-month-old girl, a one-year-old boy and their 5-year-old sister. Their mother was working in the barn. After a while, the woman heard the cries of the children and rushed to the house. The house was almost completely filled with smoke. Fellow villagers also came to the rescue. Together they took the children out of the house and to the neighbors’ place, where the children began to show symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. They were noticed by the firefighters, who came to make sure that the children were fine.
The older girl began to lose consciousness, so before the arrival of an ambulance, the rescuers provided her with first aid. And then they carried her to the ambulance vehicle, because the vehicle was unable to get to the scene of the accident through the mountain roads. The children were hospitalized.
Law enforcement agencies are establishing the cause the fire, but it is possible that the fire in the house could be caused by children playing with fire.
