The first case of COVID-19 in Transcarpathia was confirmed by the MOH laboratory in Kyiv

This was reported by the acting head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Hetmanenko on his Facebook page:

"A resident of Mukachevo was taken to the regional infectious diseases hospital on Tuesday. In Mukachevo, she was tested and was diagnosed with coronavirus infection.

To verify the diagnosis, the patient’s tests were sent to Kyiv.

According to the doctors, the woman is currently in a satisfactory condition.

All persons she has contacted with have been identified. They are advised to be on a 14-week self-isolation.

Disinfection was carried out in the apartment block and in the surrounding area."
