The most delicious holiday of this winter, the 11th festival Uzhgorod PALACHINTA 2020 will be held on February 14-16 at the large parking lot behind the Dastor shopping center.
Uzhgorod PALACHINTA is a gastronomic festival with a diverse cultural and entertainment program that combines Ukrainian and Transcarpathian traditions and modern trends. The name of the festival – "palachinta" comes from the Hungarian word "palacsinta", which means "pancake" in Transcarpathian dialect. The festival will also have a charitable aspect. Together with the Movement to Support Transcarpathian Soldiers, fundraising for the needs of the army and other charity events are being prepared. The program of the festival includes: • traditional Transcarpathian dishes, tasting of drinks, wine, honey, pancakes, etc.; • folk festivities, a concert program, fun entertainment and contests for adults and children; • prizes for daredevils who will climb up poles; • competition for the most delicious pancakes, awarding of winners; • master classes; • Open Winter Bench Press Championship of Uzhgorod "Iron Palachinta"; • thematic photo zones; • win-win lottery; • fire show, burning of a winter "mara"; • charity events – raising money for the military; We invite catering establishments and entrepreneurs to take part in the festival!
