At the customs post "Uzhgorod" almost 200 kilograms of chocolate were found in a minibus Mercedes.
According to the Transcarpathian Customs, today, a minibus Mercedes 316 CDI with the registration number of Ukraine driven by a citizen of Ukraine arrived at the customs post "Uzhgorod" on the way from the Czech Republic to Ukraine. The citizen chose the "green corridor" for the customs control.
“That is, the citizen stated that he was not transporting any goods subject to a written declaration, customs tax payments, prohibitions or restrictions on the importation into Ukraine. In the course of customs control, custom officers found chocolate "Toblerone" in 2 kg cardboard boxes in the amount of 91 boxes, totaling 182 kg, which were in the luggage compartment of the car", – the report states.
These actions constitute a violation of the customs rules provided for in Article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. At present, a report on violation of customs rules has been drawn up, 174 kg of chocolate was seized pending court decision.
