43rd mini-sculpture has been installed in Uzhgorod: bronze “Druget” (PHOTOS)

Yesterday, December 14, another mini-sculpture was installed in Uzhgorod. This time, the sculpture was placed in the central part of Uzhgorod, at the entrance to the building of the UzhNU Chemical Faculty. This was reported on Facebook by tourism expert Fedir Shandor
"We did it! The Drugets who ruled Uzhgorod for more than 360 years and made it a city are immortalized in the sculpture…, – Shandor wrote. – The mini-sculpture, that is included in the tourist route "Mini-sculptures of Uzhgorod", was presented by the sculptor Roman Murnik, blacksmith Stepan Rusnak and the sponsor of the project Serhiy Kovach". The monument is the 43rd in the collection of mini-sculptures in Uzhgorod.
The report also says that the mini-sculpture is dedicated to the Drugets family of French and Italian descent. This family was directly related to Transcarpathia. It is associated with the founding of Uzhgorod (Ungvar) as a city. The Drugets also owned the Nevytsky and Uzhgorod castles. The place for the sculpture was chosen for a reason (the park near the chemical factory) – "Druget" is looking at his castle, and behind him, there is the former gymnasium, that was bearing his name and next to it a monument to Druget stood in 1943.
