Bribe: in Transcarpathia, an official of the migration service took bribes for issuing documents

It has been found out that in return for $ 400, the official offered foreigners to "expedite the procedure" of document issuance from statutory 2 months to 2 weeks

The head of a sector of the Main Office of the State Migration Service in Transcarpathian region received bribes from EU citizens for issuing permits for temporary residence in Ukraine.   
It has been found out that in return for $ 400, the official offered foreigners to "expedite the procedure" of document issuance from statutory 2 months to 2 weeks. Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the official according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine near his workplace after he had received advance payment from a client. 
The offender was notified of being suspected of Part 3 of Art. 368 (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of undue benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. 
The arrest of the official was carried out jointly with the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation in the city of Lviv, under the procedural control of the Prosecutor’s Office of Transcarpathian region. All the circumstances of the case are being established.
