In Transcarpathia, police caught three thieves

Law enforcement officers of Mukachevo, Svalyava and Velyky Berezny districts identified the persons involved in thefts 
This was reported by the communications department of the Transcarpathian regional police.
The Mukachevo Police Department received a report from the driver of a private taxi service about the theft of his cellphone. The complainant informed that a phone worth about 5 thousand hryvnias had been stolen from his car.   
Criminal police officers of the Mukachevo department have identified the thief. It was a 16-year-old resident of the village of Strabichovo in Mukachevo district. The phone was seized from the man and sent for examination. An investigation over the theft was initiated under Part 1 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. 
Svalyava police identified the person who stole a gold ring from a woman’s home. It was the applicant’s 25-year-old daughter. She sold her mother’s ring to a pawn shop. The investigation in the case initiated under Part 3 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is ongoing.     
Officers of Velyky Berezny police department responded promptly to the report of an attempted theft from a clothing store. According to law enforcement officers, two locals aged 35 and 25 broke into the store’s premises at night with the intention to steal clothing. During the theft they were caught by the police. An investigation has been initiated on the grounds of Part 1 of Article 162 (Breaking and entering) and Part 3 of Article 185 (Theft with breaking and entering) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Both residents of the town of V. Berezny were notified of being suspected. The investigation is ongoing.
