Police found a large batch of narcotics in Rakhiv district

Law enforcement officers of the Rakhiv Police Department have documented the fact of the cultivation of narcotic substances. Plants were seized and sent for examination. The incident is being investigated

Yesterday, September 26, officers of the Rakhiv Police Department, during a court-ordered search in the apartment of a 36-year-old resident of the village of Kobyletska Polyana, found out illegal cultivation of narcotic substances for the purpose of sale. 
During investigative activities, policemen confiscated 5 bushes of hemp weighing 8 kilograms, 4 kilograms of dry substance, probably cannabis, and a device for smoking narcotic substances. All of that was seized as evidence and sent for appropriate examination. 
A criminal proceeding over the incident was opened under Article 310 (2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (sowing or cultivation of narcotic poppy or hemp). The sanction of the article provides for a sentence in the form of imprisonment for a term of three to seven years. The man is arrested under Article 208 of the CCP of Ukraine.
