The violator of the customs rules admitted to Transcarpathian customs officers that he was carrying cigarettes in a cache

At the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian Customs, an illegal export of tobacco products to Italy was prevented.

The cigarettes were carried across the customs border of a citizen of Ukraine by a car "MERCEDES-BENZ SPRINTER" with Ukrainian registration.

The Ukrainian chose the "red corridor" for customs control. The citizen filled in a customs declaration, in which he indicated his passport data, information about the vehicle and 120 cartons of cigarettes.

In the course of customs control, customs officers found undeclared 120 packs of Marlboro Gold, 20 packs of Marlboro touch, 40 packs of Rothmans Nano with excise stamps of Ukraine and 820 packs of Compliment without excise stamps.

The citizen of Ukraine acknowledged that the cigarettes were his property. He bought them in the market in the city of Khmelnytsky.

The cigarettes were hidden in a specially made cache located inside the fuel tank.

The cost of the cigarettes with excise stamps was more than UAH 7 thousand, the cost of the cigarettes without excise stamps requires additional evaluation with the assistance of an expert.   

It should be noted that tobacco products were shown voluntarily and were hidden in a specially made cache under the passenger seat of the car in the form of a double bottom. 

Thus, the citizen of Ukraine failed to indicate in the customs declaration accurate information about the goods being moved by him across the customs border of Ukraine, which in this amount are subject to a written declaration and restricted for transportation across the customs border of Ukraine. 

These actions have signs of violation of customs rules under Article 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the report on violation of customs regulations have been made, 1000 cigarettes were seized.
