68th constituency. Candidates that we deserve?

Rumors, so-called "insider information" and, finally, expectations and pragmatic calculations are becoming true.

And on Sunday, June 9, after numerous party congresses, the lists of the candidates, who, in particular, will be running in Uzhgorod, are becoming more clear. There are not many surprises, but there are some, in particular among young political forces.

So, who will run in the famous and sometimes quite troubled 68th constituency, which includes not only the regional center, but also Uzhgorod district?

Let’s start with the most high-profile ones. "The Voice of Uzhgorod Maidan" will once again be heard in the region: Yuriy Svitlyk represents Svyatoslav Vakarchuk’s party "Holos" in Transcarpathia. By the way, Kira Rudyk from Uzhgorod has the third place in the party’s election list. As for single-seat constituencies, Oleksandr Danylyuk, legendary military surgeon, a native of Rakhiv district, is running in the 72nd constituency. Doctor of Law, professor of UzhNU, Mykhailo Savchin is running in the 68th constituency in Uzhgorod.

The party "Servant of the People" nominated in the 68th constituency artist, jeweler and entrepreneur, co-founder of the famous jewelry brand Yuriy Kochut. Zelensky’s representative in the region Ihor Krivosheyev is in the party list.

"United Center" was one of the first to determine their candidates: they nominated in the Uzhgorod constituency experienced Mykhailo Fedynets, who once headed the Uzhgorod district council.

The party TUKZ (KMKS) nominated in Uzhgorod and Uzhgorod district the current deputy chairman of the regional council Jozef Borto.

"Opposition bloc" has not yet presented their candidates, Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv is expected to run, his brother Andriy, probably, will be in the party list. But that’s not definitive.

There has not yet been an official statement, however it is expected that the current People’s Deputy from the constituency Robert Horvat will run again. Robert Horvat probably will not run from Poroshenko’s party "European Solidarity", he is expected to run as a self-nominated candidate.
