Transcarpathian bomb experts destroyed an old artillery shell

On May 11, rescuers of Transcarpathia were reported about a suspicious metal object found on the territory of a private plot of land on Zatyshna street in Svalyava. As it turned out, during the earth works, the owner found a metal object looking like an explosive. Bomb experts arrived at the scene and identified the object as a 45 mm artillery shell of the Second World War period. On the same day, it was removed and destroyed in a specially designated place.

Transcarpathian rescuers ask citizens to adhere to the rules of conduct when detecting explosive objects: do not approach a suspicious item, do not touch it and do not let others do so. All found suspicious items should be immediately reported to the competent authorities by phone "101" or "102" or to the body of local self-government.
