As we reported, the pedestrian crossing point "Lubnya – Wolosate" on the Ukrainian-Polish border will be open for five days. It was opened on the outskirts of the village of Lubnya in Velyky Berezny district of Transcarpathian region in accordance with the agreements with the Polish side.

The initiative to open a border crossing point to the Republic of Poland via Transcarpathian region was implemented within the framework of the "Days of Ukraine and Poland’s Neighborliness", which are held together with Podkarpackie Voivodship.

A popular tourist route runs through the territory, where the temporary border crossing point was opened today, so in the future it is planned to establish a permanent international crossing point here. At present, people can cross the border from 08.00 to 20.00 subject to valid documents for the right to cross the border. Control operations are being carried out by border guards of the Chop detachment.

The first statistical data indicate a rather high interest of travelers to the opportunity to get to Poland via this point. As of 15.30, 286 people left Ukraine, including 200 citizens of Ukraine and 86 citizens of other states. 335 people entered Ukraine, including 124 Ukrainians and 211 foreigners.
