Tourist safety is above all: Memorandum on priorities in the important for Transcarpathia industry has been signed

Everyone loves Transcarpathia! After all, the number of people willing to admire the Carpathians, skiing or snowboarding, to experience the therapeutic effect of balneological procedures, and just to relax in the Land Close to the Sky is constantly increasing!

Despite the fact that the spring has already come to the suburbs of the Transcarpathian cities and villages, winter and dangerous weather is still raging in the highlands of our region.

But the safety of tourists is above all! So, the issue of safety, comfort and quality of service provision in the tourist and recreation industry is very relevant. This work directly concerns the rescuers of Transcarpathia, as this winter became a kind of test for the units of the mountain rescue service. Thus, since the beginning of 2019, 166 citizens have been assisted in the mountains, of which 150 people received first medical aid.

Therefore, on March 19, in the small hall of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, during the public report on the implementation of budget programs, they signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Department of Economic Development and Trade of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian Region and the Public Council at the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

In order to further promote the development of the tourist industry in Transcarpathia and in accordance with this document, it is expected to develop the relevant regulations that will provide for the mandatory registration of tourists before going to the mountains. This issue has recently been a priority for the safety of holidaymakers. They also discussed the formation and development of the movement of public rescuers, who will be actively involved in helping tourists on the ground.
