On March 17, at 7:00 pm, a jazz music concert "Kyiv Art Ensemble" with the participation of Volodymyr Solyanyk Trio and a special guest from the United Kingdom George Haslam (baritone saxophone) will take place in the ILKO Gallery.
Volodymyr SOLYANYK is considered a jazz-guru and virtuoso musician. One of the most famous pianists of contemporary Ukrainian jazz has participated in leading festivals, concerts, tours in almost all European countries; he has recorded more than 10 albums and has been teaching at Kyiv Music Institute for 24 years. He formed a unique "Kyiv Art Ensemble" with rotating line-up of the best Ukrainian and foreign jazz musicians. Volodymyr Solyanyk was one of the founders of the international forum "Jazz-Koktebel".
George HASLAM is a legendary musician from Great Britain (Oxford), who has released more than 30 albums with musicians from the USA, England, Argentina, France, Russia, and Asia. His repertoire includes ethnic chamber free jazz on saxophones and tarogato (Balkan-Carpathian clarinet).
